Our History
Moke Realty was originally established in Glen Park, a neighborhood in Gary in 1972 by Clarence D. Moke, Jr.; and has continued to serve Northwest Indiana's real estate needs for over the past 30 years.
Clarence started the company when he won a contract to manage property for the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
Moke Realty has since moved and expanded while remaining family owned and operated.
The main office is now located on 61st Avenue near I-65 in Merrillville.
Our Crown Point branch office opened in August 2002.
Today, Clarence Moke works as Principal Broker and President of Moke Realty, Inc.
The company has a strong vision for the future with Joseph D. Moke and Lisa Moke, Clarence's son and daughter, bringing new leadership to continue the Moke Realty tradition in Northwest Indiana.
Joseph is Vice President of Moke Realty and Broker/Manager of the Crown Point office.
Joseph is a graduate of Purdue University with a degree in business finance.
He also has over 15 years of sales and property management experience, and is currently serving on the MLS Board of Directors.
Lisa Moke joined the company in 1999 and is the Managing Broker of our Merrillville office.
She has a real dedication to the company and the region it serves.
Moke Realty continues to grow and change to meet the needs of Northwest Indiana's real estate consumers.
Moke Realty's Internet homepage, www.MokeRealty.com, was launched in 2000, and has evolved into a sophisticated website with various online links and services.
Becoming Your Home Online, Moke Realty is making it easier for property buyers and property owners to unite.
To conclude, Moke Realty has enjoyed over three decades of success in real estate industry; however, without a strong sales staff and dedicated family ownership, it would not have been possible.
